Soccer Game Preview: Scotland vs. Lumberton

Scotland is 0-10 against Lumberton since October of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Fighting Scots will be playing at home against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Scotland came up short against Central Academy of Technology & Arts on Friday, falling 6-2. One thing that didn't help Scotland's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Jackson Hernandez.

Meanwhile, Lumberton fell victim to Gray's Creek and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Bears. While losing is never fun, Lumberton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 355th, while Gray's Creek are ranked 86th).

Lumberton's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Scotland, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
