It's playoff time, and Ironton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Cincinnati Christian Cougars with a sharp 11-5 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Fighting Tigers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the fourth in a row for Ironton, bringing their record up to 19-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Cincinnati Christian, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-13.

Coming up, Ironton will take on Graham Local at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Fighting Tigers 3, the Falcons 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Cincinnati Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
