Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Patriots vs. Northeast Raiders

An exciting North v. South battle is about to be fought. The Southwest Patriots will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Northeast Raiders at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Southwest has six straight victories, Northeast has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Southwest will bounce into Friday's game after beating Northeast, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Southwest blew past Northeast 68-37 on Wednesday. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Southwest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Ashley, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points. Chase Dupree was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Southwest's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.
