Softball Recap: North County Knights vs. Chesapeake Cougars
North County lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Monday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 13-3 loss at the hands of the Chesapeake Cougars. North County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Chesapeake's part, the team relied heavily on Allison Schaefer, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI. Ava Cicchetti was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
North County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Chesapeake, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North County will square off against Glen Burnie at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chesapeake, they will head out on the road to face off against Arundel at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
