Basketball Recap: Allen East Gets the Win

Allen East hadn't done well against Lincolnview recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Allen East Mustangs escaped with a win against the Lincolnview Lancers by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by just one point.

Allen East is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one points across that stretch. As for Lincolnview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Allen East is taking a road trip to challenge Kenton at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Allen East is facing Kenton at the right time seeing as Kenton is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Lincolnview, they will welcome St. John's at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
