Baseball Game Preview: Osawatomie Trojans vs. Baldwin Bulldogs

Osawatomie is 0-10 against Baldwin since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Osawatomie's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Baldwin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Osawatomie will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Anderson County, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trojans came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday. While the Trojans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Baldwin posted their closest win since April 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Santa Fe Trail 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Osawatomie's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-1. As for Baldwin, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Osawatomie suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Baldwin when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
