Soccer Game Preview: Armstrong vs. Highland Springs

The Armstrong Wildcats will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Highland Springs Springers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Armstrong is headed into their match with Highland Springs looking for a result a bit more satisfying than what they got in their season opener against Huguenot two weeks ago. The Wildcats and the Falcons finished up their game with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Highland Springs was forced to settle for a draw. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Huguenot.

Armstrong might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Highland Springs in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 3-0.
