Basketball Game Preview: Seminole Indians vs. Canyon Eagles

The Seminole Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Canyon Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Seminole is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.

Last Tuesday, Seminole humbled Greenwood with a 64-36 victory. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Canyon ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hereford, sneaking past 51-49. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Seminole's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-10. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34 points. As for Canyon, their record now sits at 17-15.

Seminole came up short against Canyon when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 62-56. Can Seminole avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
