Football Recap: Trinity Christian Crusaders vs. Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Christian). They were the clear victor by a 40-14 margin over the Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Crusaders have posted since September 15, 2023.

Trinity Christian was led to victory by Ben Helton and Ben Castro-Poveda. Helton rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown, while Castro-Poveda threw for 129 yards and a touchdown on only six passes. Helton got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 66 yards.

Another reason for the win was Trinity Christian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 3.5 sacks. Anthony Frank-Woji was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up 2.5himself. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up 2.5 sacks and making three total tackles.
