Preview: Petaluma vs. Santa Rosa
Santa Rosa will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Petaluma in at Santa Rosa High School at 5:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Santa Rosa had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-34 walloping at Analy hands.
Petaluma also just played their first game, also were on the road, and also didn't get the result they wanted. They were given a punishing 7-52 loss at the hands of Montgomery. Petaluma were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-33.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
