Softball Recap: Pleasant Spartans vs. Marion Harding Presidents        
        
		
            
 After losing to Marion Harding the last time they met, Pleasant decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went the Pleasant Spartans' way against the Marion Harding Presidents on Wednesday as the Pleasant Spartans made off with  an  11-5 win.
  Faith Staley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Staley was also big at the plate,  firing off two  home runs and four  RBI while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Peyton Simpkins, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Hannah Miller, who  went 3-for-4 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 On Marion Harding's side,  Raina Smith was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kameron Biederman, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Pleasant's victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 8-13. As for Marion Harding, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
 Pleasant will be playing at home against Ridgedale at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Ridgedale will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something Pleasant surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marion Harding, they will be playing at home against Delaware Christian at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Delaware Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1  runs per game  this season.
