Volleyball Recap: Little River Academy Bumblebees vs. Clifton Cubs
Little River Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Clifton Cubs. The Bumblebees were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cubs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2016.
While Little River Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Clifton work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-23, 20-25, 27-25, 25-21.
Little River Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-21. As for Clifton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 29-13.
Little River Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Fairfield will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Little River Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clifton, they will challenge Scurry-Rosser at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clifton is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
