Volleyball Recap: Fairfax Comes Up Short

Fairfax lost against Flint Hill back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lions fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 2-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Flint Hill scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 22-25.

Flint Hill can attribute much of their success to Evie Huang, who had 12 digs and four aces. Huang has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last three times she's played.

Fairfax has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Flint Hill, their win ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Coming up, Fairfax will host Lake Braddock at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Flint Hill, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Paul VI on the 27th.
