Football Recap: Port Jervis' Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Port Jervis put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game with ease, bagging a 55-21 victory over the Middletown Middie Bears. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Raiders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Middie Bears are ranked 133rd).

Port Jervis was led to victory by Dylan Fox and Amato Natale. Fox rushed for 125 yards and four TDs on only 11 carries, while Natale rushed for 138 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. Fox is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

Port Jervis' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Middletown, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Port Jervis will challenge Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Middletown, they will face off against Newburgh Free Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Middie Bears' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
