Volleyball Recap: Mt. Hope Takes Down Ranked Hope

Mt. Hope faced Hope in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Huskies put the hurt on the Blue Wave with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

While Mt. Hope might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Hope scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 27-25, 25-20.

Mt. Hope pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hope, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.

Coming up, Mt. Hope will square off against Toll Gate at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Hope, they will face off against Mt. Pleasant at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Wave will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Kilties will have lost five straight heading into Thursday's game.
