Basketball Game Preview: Jeffersonville Red Devils vs. Scottsburg Warriors

The Jeffersonville Red Devils will square off against the Scottsburg Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jeffersonville has 11 straight victories, Scottsburg has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If Scottsburg heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Jeffersonville took over last week. Jeffersonville came out on top against Castle by a score of 62-53 on Friday. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Knights are ranked 73rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Michael Cooper continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9-for-14 to rack up 28 points and five steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Terrence Nord, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Scottsburg came up short against Mitchell on Friday and fell 69-61.

Scottsburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Jeffersonville, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
