The Wooster Generals will challenge the Nordonia Knights at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wooster will be strutting in after a win while Nordonia will be coming in after a loss.
Nordonia will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Wooster extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. Everything went the Generals' way against West Holmes as they made off with a 3-0 victory.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wooster took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-3, 25-10.

Among those leading the charge was Baylie Hahn, who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matches. Anaca Holcombe also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Wooster was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Nordonia didn't have quite enough to beat Stow-Munroe Falls on Thursday and fell 3-2. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 25-20 in the first set.
Nordonia started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-20, 15-12.
Wooster will need to focus on slowing down Avery Palinkas, one of several Nordonia players who made an impact when they last played. She had three digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Hameed, who had 13 digs and two aces.
Nordonia's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Wooster, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: Wooster has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Nordonia struggles in that department as they've been averaging 12.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Wooster beat Nordonia 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Generals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
