Softball Recap: Jeannette's Run of Six Straight Victories Now Over

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Jeannette couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Union Area Scotties on Monday, falling 10-0. The Jayhawks were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the six matchups prior), but the Scotties' pitcher proved too tough.

With the loss, Jeannette broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-5. As for Union Area, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.

Jeannette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union Area, they will take on Jefferson-Morgan at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Scotties 0.9, the Rockets 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
