You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Chowchilla's strategy against Yosemite on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Chowchilla Tribe blew the Yosemite Badgers out of the water with a 66-32 final score. The Tribe have beaten the Badgers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Badgers has come to flipping the script.

Chowchilla's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Ojeda, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 17 points along with eight assists and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Ojeda now owns an excellent 45.1% shooting accuracy. Tristan Beardsley was another key player, going 5-for-8 on his way to 10 points in addition to seven steals and six boards.

Ojeda wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Chowchilla was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Yosemite only racked up nine assists.

When it comes to explaining why Yosemite lost, don't look at Fallon Vaughn. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Vaughn has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played.

Chowchilla's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Yosemite, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-21.

Chowchilla has already played their next matchup, a 66-63 win against Fowler on the 11th. As for Yosemite, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-37 loss against Minarets on the 11th.
