Meigs County is a perfect 8-0 against Polk County since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Meigs County has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meigs County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against McMinn Central on Monday as they made off with a 21-13 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Polk County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to Loudon. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Redskins 4-0 in the first period.

Mallie Evans spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, Zady Ledford was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Meigs County and bumps their season record up to 7-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Polk County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Meigs County took their win against Polk County in their previous matchup on April 3rd by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
