Baseball Game Preview: Hunterdon Central Red Devils vs. Jackson Memorial Jaguars

The Hunterdon Central Red Devils will take on the Jackson Memorial Jaguars on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

12 must be Hunterdon Central's lucky number: they beat Manalapan with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Red Devils beat the Braves by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-7. Winning may never get old, but the Red Devils sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Jackson Memorial had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against Franklin on Friday as they made off with a 12-1 victory.

Hunterdon Central's win bumped their record up to 18-13. As for Jackson Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Hunterdon Central skirted past Jackson Memorial 3-1 when the teams last played back in June of 2018. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
