Basketball Recap: Wiley Panthers vs. Kit Carson Wildcats
Wiley extended their losing streak to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They had to suffer through a 57-21 loss at the hands of the Kit Carson Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Wildcats are ranked 148th).
Despite the loss, Wiley still got an impressive performance from McKenzie Mapes, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kynlee Dechant, who earned eight points.

Wiley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-11 defeat against Flagler on the 17th. As for Kit Carson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 46-35 loss against Hi-Plains on the 17th.
