League recap: Kingston stuns North Kitsap in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to North Kitsap, who took down 148th ranked North Kitsap, 31-27.

North Mason was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in 2A Olympic. Earlier in the week, the Bulldogs defeated Klahowya 27-21.

The Eagles' dynamic duo of Jacob Sheets and Josh Ganowski proved tough for North Mason to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sheets threw for 129 yards and three touchdowns and Ganowski had 76 yards receiving. Grady Bashore helped Klahowya's passing attack out by catching two balls for 29 yards.

Brody Stromberg was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 144 yards as Jeff Bevers' team fell to Jeff Bevers' team. Tommy Marsh also contributed to the rushing game with 112 yards on the ground.

Klahowya's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sheets has thrown for 1175 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Ganowski has 39 catches for 785 yards. Latrell Simpson leads the league in rushing with 733 yards.

A big matchup in 2A Olympic this week will be when Bremerton takes on the Eagles. At the moment, the Knights are in first, while Klahowya is in fourth.

There should be lots of points scored when Bremerton and the Eagles face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Knights comes in having scored 269 this season, while Klahowya has scored 176. Bremerton scored 46 points last week as it bested Olympic.

The Knights extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Trojans, 46-7. The win marks sixth in a row for the Bremerton.
