Volleyball Recap: South Beloit's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but South Beloit unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lutheran Crusaders by a score of 2-1. The Sobos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Natalie Andrew paced South Beloit's offense, picking up eight kills. Andrew got some help from Macey Lineman and her ten assists. Finally, Charlie O'Brien kept South Beloit's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

South Beloit's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Lutheran, they moved to 2-13 with that victory, which also ended their eight-match losing streak.

South Beloit has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against North Boone on the 27th. As for Lutheran, they will challenge Dixon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
