Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Winters walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Paradise Bobcats 8-7 on Friday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ava Estepa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.

The win got Winters back to even at 14-14. As for Paradise, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Winters will venture away from home to square off against Colusa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the RedHawks have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. Paradise does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
