Volleyball Recap: Eastmark Firebirds vs. Prescott Badgers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mica Mountain, Eastmark was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Prescott Badgers out 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Firebirds as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Eastmark had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 15-13.
Eastmark found their leader in underclassman Mckenna Jackson, who had 11 digs.
Eastmark was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.
Eastmark's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Prescott, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
