Baseball Game Preview: Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish vs. Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks

The Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish will venture away from home to challenge the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory will be strutting in after a victory while Tamalpais will be coming in after a loss.

Last Saturday, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory earned a 6-1 win over Redwood.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Rohan Kahns, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, Kahns posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Tedford Lewis was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Tamalpais was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They fell just short of Casa Grande by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Red Tailed Hawks have suffered since March 28, 2024.

Eli Solem was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Tamalpais, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.
