Softball Preview: Worthington Kilbourne Wolves vs. Lakewood Lancers
The Worthington Kilbourne Wolves are taking a road trip to face off against the Lakewood Lancers at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Worthington Kilbourne's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
Worthington Kilbourne proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by six) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 win over Hamilton Township. While the Wolves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Becca Boue was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.
