Softball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-5 to the Reed Raiders.

River Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claudia Dudek, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, River Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive games.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Reed, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3-2.

Coming up, River Valley will be taking part in a tournament against Livingston at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. River Valley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Livingston has averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season. As for Reed, they will take on Damonte Ranch at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
