Chicago Academy entered their tilt with Intrinsic on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Mustangs. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chicago Academy was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-14, 25-12.

Their offense was headlined by Maya Bruno and Kalyna Raczkiewicz, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Maya Sanchez and her 13 assists. Sabrina Cavero-Rodriguez controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Chicago Academy's record now sits at 3-0. As for Intrinsic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chicago Academy will head out to take on Josephinum at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Intrinsic, they will square off against Alcott at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
