Basketball Game Preview: Sequoyah Chiefs vs. Lassiter Trojans

The Sequoyah Chiefs will take on the Lassiter Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sequoyah's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matches.

Sequoyah will head into Tuesday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 21) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-62 victory over Woodstock. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chiefs have posted since November 25, 2024.

Meanwhile, Lassiter lost to Riverwood at home by a 68-51 margin on Tuesday.

Sequoyah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points per game. As for Lassiter, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
