Baseball Recap: Macon County Victorious

Macon County got themselves on the board against DeKalb County on Friday, but DeKalb County never followed suit. They came out on top against DeKalb County by a score of 5-0. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 8-5 victory last Thursday.

Not much got past Matthew Wheeley, who gave up just three hits to keep DeKalb County off the board.

On the hitting side, Jake Meador was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Eli Carver was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Macon County and bumps their season record up to 23-11-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for DeKalb County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

As of now, neither Macon County nor DeKalb County have any future games scheduled.
