Recap: Wingfield Falcons vs. Raymond Rangers
After soaring to 58 points the game before, the Wingfield Falcons were a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They were beaten by Raymond 54-21. Wingfield has struggled against Raymond recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Wingfield's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Martavius Bennett, who scored seven points, and Orenthal Claiborne who scored four points.
Wingfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Raymond, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.
Wingfield is on the road again on Friday and plays Lanier at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th. Lanier knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Wingfield likes a good challenge. As for Raymond, they will face off against McComb at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Raymond will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something McComb surely won't give up without a fight.
