Basketball Recap: Madonna's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Madonna extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Koleton Grishkevich. The Madonna Blue Dons strolled past the Trinity Christian Warriors with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 77-60 thanks in part to Grishkevich, who posted 31 points. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Maddox Mousadis and Austin Porta certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Mousadis almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds, while Porta went 7 for 16 en route to 22 points and three steals. Porta is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Hopkins, who scored eight points.

Madonna's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Trinity Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Madonna has already played their next game, a 77-42 loss against Toronto on the 31st. As for Trinity Christian, they will head out to challenge Clay-Battelle at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
