The result was nothing new for Fellowship Christian, who have now won five games by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mount Vernon fell victim to Paideia and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pythons. The shutout was out of character for Mount Vernon seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Fellowship Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those four matchups. Mount Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything went Fellowship Christian's way against Mount Vernon in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, as Fellowship Christian made off with a 5-0 win.
