Softball Recap: St. Paul's Episcopal Comes Up Short

St. Paul's Episcopal lost a heartbreaker to Saraland when they met back in April of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. The Saints lost 8-1 to the Spartans. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Saints couldn't push the score so high this time.

St. Paul's Episcopal saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fancy Malone, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Malone also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

St. Paul's Episcopal has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Saraland, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6.

Looking ahead, St. Paul's Episcopal will head out on the road to square off against Mobile Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Saraland, they will host Robertsdale at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
