Soccer Recap: Palmetto Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Palmetto was not quite Powdersville's equal in the second half on Monday. They lost 4-0 to the Powdersville Patriots. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost nine in a row.

Palmetto now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Powdersville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmetto will welcome St. Joseph's Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Joseph's Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Palmetto surely won't give up without a fight. As for Powdersville, they will be playing at home against Daniel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Powdersville's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Daniel's offense will have their work cut out for them.
