Football Recap: Schenectady Comes Up Short

Schenectady lost against Albany back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Patriots took a blow against the Falcons, falling 46-10. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kahlil Beckett had an outrageously good game for Albany as he rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards. Those 197 rushing yards gave Beckett a new career-high. Rohan Edwards-Grant was another key rusher, rushing for 66 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries.

Schenectady now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Albany, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Schenectady is set to square off against their familiar foe Christian Brothers Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Albany will take on rival Guilderland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
