Volleyball Game Preview: Trona Tornadoes vs. Baker Braves

The Trona Tornadoes will take on the Baker Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Trona and five for Baker.

Trona came up short against Lone Pine on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Trona ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Baker came up short against Owens Valley on Saturday and fell 3-1.

Trona's loss dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for Baker, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-21-1.

Trona came out on top in a nail-biter against Baker in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Tornadoes repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
