Baseball Game Preview: Economedes Jaguars vs. Edinburg Bobcats

For the second straight game, Economedes will face off against Edinburg. The Jaguars will head out to challenge the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Economedes is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Economedes had taken Edinburg down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Jaguars took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats.

For Edinburg's part, Mariano Garza was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. Garza also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Edinburg is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-11 otherwise. Garza was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).
