Volleyball Recap: Severance Beats Mountain View for Their Eighth Straight Victory

Severance waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Mountain View Mountain Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Silver Knights also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Severance wouldn't go down easily and took Mountain View into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 14-25, 25-15, 18-16.

Severance can attribute much of their success to Eli Osborne, who had 18 digs. That's the most digs Osborne has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Zeke Wawrzyniak, who had nine digs.

Severance's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. As for Mountain View, they moved to 10-6 with that loss, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Severance and Mountain View will both be playing Windsor Charter Academy the next time they take the court. The Silver Knights will host the Firebirds at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Mountain Lions will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
