Baseball Recap: Dayton Bulldogs vs. Sayreville Bombers
The Dayton Bulldogs came up short against the Sayreville Bombers on Thursday and fell 9-4.
Patrick Ferguson put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Frank Dasti was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Dayton has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Sayreville, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.
