Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg). They blew past the Chrisman Cardinals, posting a 78-49 victory. Given Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Chrisman is ranked 722nd), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Chrisman still got an impressive performance from Statler Mitchell, who went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points along with eight boards and five assists. Mitchell is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin McCord, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and bumps their season record up to 8-6. As for Chrisman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-59 victory against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] on the 30th. As for Chrisman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 78-44 loss against Westville on the 30th.
