McDowell has gone 8-2 against Patton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Titans will challenge the Panthers at 2:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither McDowell nor Draughn made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Titans fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Zack Woody made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kaine Boone, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Freedom hit Patton with a six-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 7-6.

Trevor Throneburg was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

McDowell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Patton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

McDowell skirted past Patton 6-4 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
