Basketball Recap: May River Takes a Loss

After flying high against Battery Creek on Friday, May River came back down to earth. The May River Sharks fell to the Hilton Head Prep Dolphins 44-38. The matchup marked the Sharks 's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, May River fell to 6-1. As for Hilton Head Prep, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

May River will take on Battery Creek in a tournament on Thursday. As for Hilton Head Prep, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hampton County at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
