Basketball Game Preview: Mid Valley Spartans vs. Holy Cross Crusaders

The Mid Valley Spartans are taking a road trip to face off against the Holy Cross Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mid Valley will be strutting in after a win while Holy Cross will be coming in after a defeat.

Mid Valley will head into Friday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a 31-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Riverside 29-27.

Meanwhile, Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 53-40 to Old Forge.

Holy Cross now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Mid Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Mid Valley beat Holy Cross 49-38 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mid Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
