Melissa extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-1. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 40-34 W against the Anna Coyotes. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Coyotes, too.

Having lost for the first time this season, Anna fell to 3-1. The loss was their first of the season.

Defeat or not, Anna got some senior leadership from Ziondre Williams and Ace Traylor. Williams rushed for 70 yards and two scores, while Traylor rushed for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Coming up, Melissa will face off against Lovejoy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will be up against the Leopards' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Anna, they have already played their next game, a 63-7 win against Independence on the 2nd.
