Baseball Game Preview: St. John's Jesuit Titans vs. St. Edward Eagles

The St. John's Jesuit Titans will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the St. Edward Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. John's Jesuit had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Bowling Green on Tuesday. The Titans put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 8-1 victory.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Edward). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Riverside on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since May 21, 2024.

St. John's Jesuit now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Edward, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
