Basketball Recap: Wilmington Christian Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Wilmington Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. The contest between them and the Hillsboro Christian Academy Crusaders didn't end well, with the Wilmington Christian Academy Blazers falling 59-42.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hillsboro Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Darby Yeager, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 20 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Korte, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

The victory (which was Hillsboro Christian Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Wilmington Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hillsboro Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for Hillsboro Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 40-20 win against Varsity Opponent on the 25th.
