Basketball Recap: Howell Central Comes Up Short

Howell Central has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 43-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Charles West Warriors on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Spartans came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Warriors are ranked 115th).

Howell Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for St. Charles West, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Howell Central has already played their next game, a 61-47 defeat against Helias on the 23rd. As for St. Charles West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-27 win against Bayless on the 23rd.
